Exodus
This scenario causes me great conflict. The mastery in the scripting
was truly awesome, some of the most advanced yet.
However, the combat, well, I hated it -- it was just plain annoying.
Some creativity, but essentially just hacking at mounds of HP that summon
more mounds of HP. The scripting made combat interesting, but it was
overly punative. The storyline was decent, although nothing too great
in my book. In a lot of ways this reminds me of Spy's Quest, but with
a decade of designing experience in Blades behind it. Definitely
ahead of it's time, but it felt too Doom Moon like at times. On one
hand,
I want to congratulate the designer, but on the other, I despised the experience.
As conflicted as this is, Exodus failed the fun test in my book.
A lot of effort put in, but unfortunately not enough in making things reasonable.

A Good Beginning
Excellent use of custom graphics, good town design, well tested, and rich
in atmosphere in detail. Would be an ideal scenario save its incredibly
short length. There is an obvious sequel tease, but really not enough
there to justify a high score. Too bad, double the length and this would
have been a decent scenario, as it is now, I can only give it slightly above
average.

Magus of Cattalon
Definitely a polished scenario, good use of graphics, and a good storyline.
At times the plot was a little bit confusing and the dialogue a little short,
but nothing too hindering. Town layout and scripting were superb with
combat that is entirely reasonable. Although not in the acropolis of
greatness, it comes close.

Where the Rivers Meet
Lengthy and promising, sort of reminds me of a lot of ambitious first efforts.
At the end of the day this was just another monster plague scenario and we've
seen plenty of that. There were some high points, but it felt kind of
rough. I found a few simple bugs that would have been easy to fix, the
graphics were not all that great when better choices exist, and the scripting
use was not overly extensive and episodic. While there are some areas
I was genuinelyimpressed with, there were many others that made me less enthused.
Definite potential, but uneven in quality. Be that it is a little rough
around the edges, I would say this is a very good effort with sheer length
factored in.
