If you accept orders, Arkanis will grab the tome and teleport away. You return to Alamar and take a rest. When you wake up, a soldier will tell you to go see General Troy. He will inform you of your next mission which is to defend a Vahnatai fort. Go and cross the bridge to the north and then head west. The fort is located just south of the entrance to the mountains. Before you leave Alamar, you might want to attempt to recover the Staff of Korthax.

Enter it and fight off the Forester attack. Don't leave any more or you will be butchered by a large group of Foresters. Instead, follow the Vahnatai commander into the east wing of the fort and into the command room. There he will reward you. When you try to leave, another attack on the fort will be much more successful. You will be captured and brought to a slith fort. There you will learn that you must find some information. Fight your way out of the prison and to the officers' quarters. Find the scrolls in the chest and enter the library. Climb down the stairs and into the caves where you will meet your rescue party.

If you got the scrolls, talk to the captain and get your reward from the chest. Hop on the boat and make your way to the east. When you get close to the small camp, a slith battle is underway. Fight them off and then next group. Exit the cave and return to Alamar. Give the scrolls to General Troy and he will give you a mission to kill the slith's dragon as a deterent to keep the sliths out of the war. The volcano is located at the farthest southwest point of Ironcrest Island.

When you enter the volcano, go into the small room to the south and pull the lever to open up the gate. Follow the winding main path in the volcano. Along the way you will run into many fire creatures. Make your way into the main chamber of the volcano. After you kill the dragon, the lava will rise very quickly because of an eruption. Haste and bless your party and fight your way out in battle mode until you reach the gate. If you don't, you will be killed quickly. After that, leave the volcano and head back to Alamar.

Return to General Troy. He will give you your last mission, help to stop a major offensive by the Foresters. You might want to heal your party and by supplies because you will be taken to the battlefield right after. Kill off all of the enemies and you will have won Sword and Stone. Congradulations!
